In this book Roald Dahl himself reviews and reminisces about his own childhood. There is an abundance of reliable information in this book about Roald Dahl's childhood. It is reliable because it is a primary source, and it explains in detail the important times and dates of his early life. The writing style considers a range of audiences, and is suitable for younger and older people. This book assisted my research on Roald Dahl’s childhood because it revealed his personal opinions on his experiences growing up and also gave me insight on his inspiration from his childhood later to be threaded through the plot and characters of his famous children’s books. This website examines the life of Roald Dahl, focusing on his childhood and school years, the war years and his family life. The Oslo University has conducted a thorough investigation of Roald Dahl, a famous author who often visited their area as a child. This website is particularly useful because there is a wealth of information that is very detailed about Dahl and his quirks and hobbies growing up. It also included a few images that were helpful to add into my website. This source was trustworthy as the information came from a University that is established in an area where Roald Dahl spent a lot of time in his childhood. This website was quite helpful in conveying the inspirations from his childhood to the main ideas and characters in his well-known children books such as his chocolate tasting for Cadbury and the ‘evil’ shop lady who was the inspiration for The Witches. FamousAuthors is a reliable source of information as it is an established website with the sole purpose to have biographical information about all types of authors and is updated regularly. This website was very helpful in finding information and was reliable and trustworthy.
